Floorworld and partners step up to support Pancare again this April during Oesophageal Cancer Awareness Month
In November 2020 specialty flooring retailer Floorworld launched an innovative partnership with Pancare that activated the national Floorworld store network, key category suppliers and their customers. The Floorworld community rallied, and they were able to raise an incredible $27,000 for Pancare. Pancare Foundation are thrilled to announce that Floorworld and their supplier partners will once again step up to support Pancare and help us take on Australia’s toughest cancers.
Thursday 1st April officially marks the beginning of Oesophageal Cancer Awareness Month. Oesophageal cancer is one of the upper gastrointestinal cancers, along with pancreatic, liver, stomach and biliary cancers, that Pancare Foundation supports.
In the past year more than 1,500 Australians have been diagnosed with oesophageal cancer. Oesophageal cancer is considered a low-survival cancer with only 22.1% of people diagnosed surviving beyond 5 years. It remains the 9th leading cause of cancer related death in Australia.
It’s time for change.
This April Floorworld will once again be joining Pancare in putting a spotlight on oesophageal cancer by raising awareness and much needed funds so that progress can be made in the fight against this devastating disease.
Floorworld and their supplier partners including Feltex, Godfrey Hirst, Beaulieu Australia, Clever Choice Flooring, Airstep Flooring, Imagine Floors by Airstep and Australian Select Timbers, are taking on Australia’s toughest cancers. Purchase of select products during the month of April will help support Pancare Foundation and our vital work.
